I will be only 13 days in Hong Kong and Thailand.
I don't want to buy and be bothered with an adapter to use the power (electricity). My only use would be to recharge my shaver which is working for about 10 days. I will be some hours in 7 airports and many budgeted hotels.
Will I find somewhere an outlet right away adapted to our american outlets then be able recharge my shaver?

Hello friends,
I'm planning to take my parents and my 16-yr old brother to Thailand. I want to stay 3 days in Bangkok and three days in Pattaya.

Question 1: Accomodation

I have a very tight budget... can't spend more than 2000 baht a day on accomodation (for all 4 of us). I'd love to hear advice on good guesthouses and hotels in decent areas. Nothing fancy or frilly... but tasteful and quaint places that showcase Thai culture would be great. I am scared of getting accommodation in a "seedy" location... my uber-conservative parents (who had never gone out of India till now) will surely kill me, lol.

Question 2: Itinerary

Day 1 - Chinatown
Day 2 - Bankgok Canals tour
Day 3 - Temple Tour + shopping
Day 4 - Nong Nooch village
Day 5 - Temples + Tiger Zoo
Day 6 - Coral island

Do the above scedule cover the major must-see places? Any more suggestions on what I should never miss in Thailand?

Advance thanks for your suggestions,
Radhi

And return it back to Bangkok when you go home? Do you need an international license? Can you take them on the ferries? Are there restrictions to what you can carry? i.e. in India a family of 8, 4 dogs and the kitchen sink can travel on a moped!! Special insurance? Does anyone recommend it or is a whacking great big NO?

Am going in November for 3 weeks and want to pack loads in so timings are crucial. If I can pre-book hotels on the net in advance it will keep the cost down too.

Could tell me more about it, please?

And about traffic in Bangkok in general. I heard the situation is much better now than only 10-20 years ago, that traffic jams are much less. Is it true?

Thank you.

I'm really here more for opinions than answers since I know a little about the seafood here in Thailand having lived here for all of this decade. The thing is, I'm not all that experienced when it comes to eating seafood in other countries so I'm wondering how people feel it compares. Does it come out in the taste that hardly any of it is caught from the sea? Does the cheap price of seafood make up for any limitations or health risks? I've been thinking about this a little and would like some informed opinions. Thanks.

I'm looking for a 1 bed apartment, close to any BTS with good internet connection. We need to rent on a month by month basis - so it seems like only expensive serviced apartments are our option. I can't find anything for less than 35,000. Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks

My family and I are travelling to Thailand on the 15th of October. We want to make the most of our trip there. However, we are only going there for 7 days. My parents believe that we can travel the country properly if we have a tourist guide with us or if we are part of a package tour. Then we can actually visit places without having our money wasted. At the same time, we also want to do shopping. If anyone could suggest some package tours or tourist guides which are affordable, it would be great.
