Travelling from Bangkok to Pattaya will take less than two hours.
There are two choices of going by the Motorway or by the new
elevated highway from Bang Na to Chonburi, then take the
Motorway, and driving is much more comfortable now.
The air-conditioned bus leaves Akemai Bus Terminal every 20
minutes from 05.50 a.m. till 8.00 a.m., and every 30 minutes
from 8.00 a.m. till 9.00 p.m. For information call (+662)391-9829.

Pattaya is situated just 145 Kilometres southeast of Bkk, can be reached by either public buses departing from BKK's Ekamai terminal or deluxe private coaches offering a hotel pick-up service.
Direct transfers to Pattaya from Bangkok international airport by taxi and limousine are also available. ( depend on your budget )
With expressway exits from Bkk and using the fast Bang Na- Trat highway, the road journey takes usually 2 hours or less.
I hope this help...Have fun in Thailand!!!

From Bangkok it would be better take a bus which costs less than 200 Bahts and a journey time of about 2 hours.

Forget about train service and taxi would cost you anywhere from 1,500 Bahts to 2,+++ Bahts depending on where you are from and where you're going to.

Hope this helps (the estimated fee is based on per head basis).

I would jump into a shared mini bus. The best of both worlds. Its not too bad either now, the new airport is closer to Pattaya.

share a mini van, direct service from the airport.ask at the counter. but it is more costly than taking a bus which is less convenient if you are carrying a lot of bags.
