I will be only 13 days in Hong Kong and Thailand.
I don't want to buy and be bothered with an adapter to use the power (electricity). My only use would be to recharge my shaver which is working for about 10 days. I will be some hours in 7 airports and many budgeted hotels.
Will I find somewhere an outlet right away adapted to our american outlets then be able recharge my shaver?

Many of the electrical outlets here in Thailand will accept the two blade type of plugs used in America, especially in newer buildings, otherwise the two round pin-type is also common. If your shaver is like most electric shavers, it will accept 100-240V 50-60Hz input. I have two electric shavers that were bought in the US and can use both of them here in Thailand without any additional converters or adaptors. This chart will show the sockets used in Thailand:

Since you are staying in budgeted hotels, then you probably will not 110v socket. The Thai and Hong Kong sockets are both 220v and look like the american sockets but, it will burn out your shaver. You might find a 110 socket in the Hong Kong airport or Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. Are you willing to take the time to search around for a 110v socket when you could be going over your notes or resting?

A good converter with surge protectors costs $25 or more.

Here's a possibility. A battery shaver? $21.99 at Target.

Personally, I bought a Remington battery operated through Publishers Clearning House. I found it simpler to travel with a batter operated and not worry about recharging. And I was more worried about recharging my phone than my shaver. And I carry this one in the car just in case, I have to go out after work. I have had a couple of Norelco's but, this Remington does just as good a job.

Worse case, dry shave with a disposable razor.

Hahahaha

Keep it simple kiddo, when you are traveling shaving should be your least worry.

Thai electricity is 220V, and most hotel outlets in Thailand are compatible a wide variety of plugs, including the standard North American ones. Check the input power specifications on your equipment. If it is 110-220V compatible, then it is compatible with electricity in Thailand; if it is 110V only, it is not compatible.

Will not work. Thailand 240, America 120. You can by an adapter, but I always for get to use them and burn up my appliance.

Break down and buy an adapter at Walmart for about $10.00, then you won't have to ask this question.
