I'm looking for a 1 bed apartment, close to any BTS with good internet connection. We need to rent on a month by month basis - so it seems like only expensive serviced apartments are our option. I can't find anything for less than 35,000. Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks

FYI - We have been through all this before and it's the month by month criteria that causes the grief. I've spoken to a property agent, but he can't offer us anything suitable at a lower price. Maybe we do just need to pound the streets and ask everywhere we see.

There are a number of websites for realtors, some may have listings for the same property. There is no formal organization for real estate like in the USA. The link below is to Thaiwebsites.com which is a multi-topic site.

This link is for all properties and real estate agents in Bangkok.

One apartment which is serviced that I researched for a week stay is Thanatawee Apartments is just behind the Fortune Mall and the Fortune Hotel on Ratchadapisek Road about 5 minutes walking to the subway and a 10 minute ride to Sukhumvit. Seems like a nice clean place and has month to month and 3, 6 and year rentals rates. There is a market, restaurants and shops in the Fortune mall for convenience.

Since an apartment near the BTS is prime property, the rates are usually alot higher.
Good luck

You're approaching it all wrong. For 35,000 you should be able to get a furnished 2-bedroom apartment in a very good location or a 3-bedroom apartment a bit further from center but still near BTS. However, you'd probably have to commit to minimum 2 or 3 months whereafter you can leave with one months' notice.

Two ways ..
1. decide which area(s) or soi(s) you'd like to live. take a day or two walking up and down the sois and asking prices & availability in apartment buildings that catch your interest
2. contact an agent. give him/her your criteria. follow him/her around to see what is being offered.

Note:
due to the agent getting paid a commission by the landlord, you should be able to negotiate a lower rent using method 1.

Wow, that's expensive when down here in Jomtien and Pattaya you can rent a condo from 6000 baht a month plus water ( about 150 baht ) and electricity ( up to 2000 baht a month if you use aircon ). I'm sure you can find something less than 35000 a month if you can find a property agency via your pc

Even that relies upon -- Is it in Lakewood or close to the grove? Does it incorporate something -- onsite or in unit laundry, pool, wellbeing club, etc? seem at different leases interior of reach -- it if seems severe priced for the place that is and would not come wiht extras, it probably is severe priced. no rely if that is merely too extra value-effective for the place that is, attempt to choose why. In my community, that is approximately perfect for a severe high quality nicely dealt with place.
