I will visit Koh Chang in mid November and am wondering where should I book a hotel, on Kai Bae Beach or White Sand? I like quiet and peaceful beach (no jet ski or noisy boats) with facilities like Pattaya (beach parasols and chair, food vendors). Can you recommend? Any travel tips about their beach? Thanks.

In my other question I posted that im in love with a Thai girl...sadly already I think it is a one way relationship she has only ever phoned me once (when she was drunk at the bar) I try to phone her most days...but she hardly ever picks up her mobile now...she also does not txt me anymore, and she keeps on saying stuff like up to you and ill phone you but she never does and worst she hang up on me earlier today 3 times then let me speak to her after??

It's almost like her sisters are running the show for her.
Deep down I think it will end in pain but ....if you don't try you don't get anything and she is soo beautiful. Perhaps I phone her too much but i cant love her part-time :O(

Anyone got anytips? is this a lost cause? oh and she dont speak english much haha crazy I know

I want to stay at the baan haad ngam in Koh Samui over Christmas. What is the safest way to book it? Ideally I'd like to pay a deposit and pay the rest later.

One of the most amazing things I have found about Thailand is that the temperature does not seem to vary, the nights are as hot as the days (sometimes seems hotter). I have always been curious about this after all how is possible to be as hot at night without any sun?

This phenomenon is also apparent when it has been a rainy day, so the heat rising from the ground doesn't seem to answer it.

Thai friend trying to get a tourist visa. I am sponsoring her. She was rejected once before when she asked for 90 days (the longest allowable). Would she have a better chance the second time if she asked for a shorter stay?

I know that many of America's foreign policies are justifiably unpopular with people throughout the world. But do people realize that the American you meet traveling abroad most likely doesn't agree with the policies of the Bush administration?

Is it really possible that we've lost all our good will with the rest of the world due to George Bush?

I hope not.

Hi.

I am travelling with two of my friends and staying in Bangkok from 20th to 24th Jan 08.

Any info on good hotels around US $ 50-60 located close to shopping and eating areas?

I read quite a lot about hotels in bangkok but this would be helpful if I get some reviews on good hotels.

Thanks in advance.

I want to have a good (quick) exploration (buildings (architecture), vegetations, people, transportations, businesses, parks, mountains ...) of Thailand in 5 days.

If I visit Bangkok for 2 days then fly to Chiang Mai for 2 days then fly for Krabi for 1 day .... will I succeed my goal (quick exploration) or should I use the trains to get a better overlook?
