I want to have a good (quick) exploration (buildings (architecture), vegetations, people, transportations, businesses, parks, mountains ...) of Thailand in 5 days.

If I visit Bangkok for 2 days then fly to Chiang Mai for 2 days then fly for Krabi for 1 day .... will I succeed my goal (quick exploration) or should I use the trains to get a better overlook?

Maybe and depends on where you are flying from. Remember jet lag. Vegetation? Which varies from North and South. Buildings and Architecture, from Modern to Traditional Thai. People, a mix of chinese, Thai, Burmese, Karen, Khmer, and .... Transportation, tuk-tuks, taxis, buses, trains, subways, and skytrains and of course automobiles. Businesses of all types. Parks and royal preserves. Mountains?

If you had a week to 10-14 days. Maybe. Visit, Bankgok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Krabi, Koh Phukett and maybe Koh Phi, and throw in Hua Hin and maybe Ayutthaya, the former capital or Korat near the Cambodian border.

Below is a good website that has the links to many things about Thailand that you listed in your question.

Visiting Thailand in 5 days, is like trying to visit Southern California or France or Scotland or Ireland or... in 5 days. Nearly impossible to get an overview of the diversity of the people and places.

Good luck

Chiangmai is 900 over km from Bangkok, so flying will give you more time there to explore. If you take the train, going to take you at least half a day.

Krabi likewise is quite a distance from Bangkok and even further from Chiangmai. You might as well skip Krabi this once and explore Chiangmai more, and come back another time to Krabi. You may need a couple of days there.

Uh despite the song one night in Bangkok is not enough. The rest of the country is like, well a whole other country. 10 to 14 days are absolute minimums even with 2 spots like Chiang Mai and the beach. The jet lag is going to kill you too on such a short holiday if you ahven't been there before. Thailand just blows most people's minds, especially men and you've mentioned several areas above that whole areas of study are dedicated to...

The trains between some of these destinations above are over nights and that will consume time as well. You should reconsider your time in country or pick one place the 1st time out.

Train from Chiangmai to Krabi will make you lose ONE full day and you won't see much of what you want to explore. That only leaves you with 4 days to see BKK, Chiangmai and Krabi.

5 days in Thailand is not enough to do what you are planning to do.

"Architecture"? 2 days in Bangkok? What do you want to see? Skyscrapers? "people, transportations, businesses" in Bangkok in 2 days? You need at least a week just in that city alone.
" will I succeed my goal (quick exploration) "? I doubted very much but good luck in what you are trying to do.

I would suggest Phi Phi Island instead of Krabi. Both are beautiful islands, but Phi Phi is bigger and has more to do.

I think you will get a good look at the inside of planes and airports - - too much to see - too little time - eliminate one stop..
