I've bought glasses in Bangkok 3 times out of necessity. I never felt that I got a deal.

The sites and names Negeshia gave are the larger chains. I broke my frames there and ended up at a Top Charoen shop in the Fortune Mall. The employees english was not great but we managed. I paid like USD 40 for a titanium frame that just happened to fit. I would have paid USD 150 or more in the USA. I would think part of the problem is that they import the lenses if you don't get a deal. There is usually one or 2 glass places in most malls.
