I am planning to travel to Thailand either on December or May. I am most interested in the gorgeous beaches, shopping for silks and silver and of course FOOD! I hear nothing but great news about Thailand. I want to make the best out of my trip so am asking where the best beaches are and how to get around as well as reasonable accomodations. I appreciate all information. Thank you :)

We want a cook and a "maid," but the maid will be more of a hostess/paid houseguest, and must be very beautiful and open minded... any suggestions on where to find this type of "staff."

OK, I have big feet. I wear 13 EEEE, and I have a helluva time finding shoes in the US. Now I'm in Thailand, Chiang Mai, and I need some nice shoes to go with the suits I ordered. Where, oh where, can I go to have some made (I know I won't find them on the shelves here-or will I)?

i was advised by my travel rep not to drive in Thailand as he said that no matter what the circumstances, if i had an accident i would be responsible. because had i not been a trourist in the country the accident would never have taken place...
Is this information correct?

I'm going to Bangkok next month for 7 days. I'm also planning to visit some of the surrounding villages. If you can suggest one thing to do every day for a week what would it be. I like seeing strange stuff and is not full of non-sence with food too. I've read that the Grand Palace is great and the there's the Golden Tempel, what else is there that's worth visiting.

i think prostitution in Asia should end. there are a lot of women in Asia who are either forced into it or sell their bodies to survive. it sickens me to see that horny bastards getting on women who don't want sex with them but have no choice.the sad part is that many of them lose their virginity to someone they don't want to lose it to instead of that special someone in their life. at school im sterotyped for being a slut because im thai and thailand is one of the most visited country for sex. and the fact that a majority of men who go after us are only into it because they only see us as house cleaning sex dolls. i think ending prostitution in Asia will make it a better place and there should be charities that help people in poverty. the only negative thing i think could happen is higher rape and a lot of protesting from asiaphiles.

Im a university student and i am going travelling all over Thailaind for a month in july. Im not sure how much money i will require. How much does it cost per day to eat and stay in nice accomodation(we wouldn't be looking to stay anywhere too luxurious but not anywhere too grimey), so i can work out a starting budget at least. Is public transport expensive?

I'm an undergrad at an American University studying education and mathematics. I am living in Chiang Mai, and I've heard that although Uni's and more prestigious schools hire only credentialed individuals, that there are other smaller schools that will hire clean, sharp, professional, and serious individuals. Can you tell me the names of which schools will hire, and, where they are if you can?

I don't mind pounding the pavement, but, from the way it sounds the ones most likely to hire me, are the ones I'm mostly likely to pass by and not even see to apply at.

I heard Wat Khanon in Ratchaburi is supporting Thai traditional shadow play "Nang Yai", and a theater is inside the Wat. Has anyone seen this play? How was it? Can you tell me the location of Wat Khanon and performance schedule? Thank you.

I came back from my 1st vacation to Thailand about a week ago and I am planning a 2nd vacation in August. Is there a limit to the number of times that I can enter the Kingdom as a tourist in a given year? For example, if I wanted to visit there every 2 months for a week or so, would this be okay??

Also, if I decide to visit for an extended period, say 60 or 90 days and got a toursit visa, could I then return at a later time on vacation again? For example, let's say I go there in September and stay for 60 days. Can I then later return in December on a week vacation again?
