It's really true. Girls anywhere now are very proactive. They don't wait for you to approach them, or give you their phone number, as you might not call them. They ask for your phone number and call you.
My friend has an autistic son. They took him out to Central Department Store in Thailand. His son is quite big and strong, although he can't really communicate or restrain himself socially. Once they got back home, his son's hand was full with girl names and phone numbers. Several of the girls actually did call! It was quite sad for them in a way that his son will never be able to go on a date in his life time, but they were somehow proud that at least, he could draw girls attention.
It's normal now for girls to approach guys especially if they are below 25, mostly around 15-18. If they are not hookers or anything of the sorts, they genuinely want to know you like any girls would to develop relationship.
I had girls calling my cell phone and pretend to talk on many subject, just trying to make conversation. If you're not interested, just let them know politely. They'll move on.
One thing, you'll need to know where you are. If you're near soi cowboy or Patpong, yeh, they do because they are hookers. Same with Amsterdam red light district, Pical, Peddington, Kingcross or 42 street. But, if you're in good places; may be J Avenue on Thong Lor, or good places like Central World, Siam Paragon, there are more than 50 per cent chances these are good girls, and they're not looking into your wallet. Come to think of it, all girls do look into your wallet.

Attractive girls will approach you and will probably then want paying.
Beware of the fake or real pregnancy trap if you do start a relationship - always use a condom. And watch out for beautiful girls that are not really girls.
Thailand is still a pretty poor country and many girls come from the poorer areas up north to the tourist places down south. Many are sold and are controlled by pimps and do not want to be with you at all, but will have the **** kicked out of them if they do not earn enough money.

This does not happen accross Thailand but yes at Pattaya and to some extend at Bangkok. Its only when you visit the bylanes filled with bars. Also you will find the cab driver giving you a brochure containing pics of nude women and asking if you would like to go for a massage. Nobody will come to you other wise. Please note that the women are respected in Thailand and you will find them working at most of the places in the city as the men are involved more into government jobs or Agriculture.
So enjoy your trip to Thailand...
You will definatly like it... I had been there 8 times.

Everything they said is true. But !!! You can find plenty of Virgins if you want. You'll have to pay the douree. No matter where you go you can find girls. Nice and not so nice. And they will want your wallet. I mean want you? I'm only the 2nd man my wife has ever slept with. The other being a husband she had a child with. She has a sister 27 looks 22, thats a virgin and beatiful.

Stay away from ping pong shows, they are discusting. I suggest that you go to Northern Thailand and take plenty of time to let a relationship develop. They do have a different attitude ( about American men) than ladies from the USA.

They will approach you and suck you dry of your money. Be careful, Thailand is a beautiful country with great people. However, everywhere you will find some people who are out to rob you of what you have.
I heard this once from a good lady friends in thailand "When you are with them (thai girls) you are their boyfriend but when others guys ask them what is their relationship with you they will answer - Customer"

Beautiful Thai women are everywhere and will approach you on the street, while shopping, on a bus and as a last resort, in bars and clubs. You will be alone only if you choose to be. Come, have fun and enjoy this unique paradise.

The prostitutes will approach you, just as they do every other tourist........
The normal thai girls will be friendlier than any women you've ever met, but don't think they want to go home with you or anything, they're just raised to be friendly and kind to everybody, it's their culture.......it's undoubtedly the friendliest country I've ever visited

It depends on where you are in Thailand. And be very careful, as some of these "girls" are really pretty.
