I'm going to visit Thailand for about 2 months. And I'm going to bring my Laptop Computer with me.

Do I need to bring my proof of ownership with me?

And am I likely to have some problem with customs officials at the international airport in Bangkok?

Ok, according to my Thai friends this school is the equivalent of a community college in Thailand... but is it a good enough school that I won't have any problems teaching English in Thailand after I graduate? I want to go through the proper steps to teach there, and a degree sounds like an important thing to have, but I also want to be taken seriously. Will I have any problems acquiring a work permit and teaching license if I attend this school? Anyone have any idea? :) Thanks

My bf is from Thailand and we are going to be traveling there. We may stay only a couple of weeks, but we may decide to stay for about a year, depending on several circumstances. I was wondering what kind of treatment to expect from the citizens there. I have naturally blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. We will be staying in Bangkok for 6 nights over Christmas this year, and want to find a fantastic hotel! We are looking for something touristy. Location is very important. We want to be close to tourist attractions, not on the outskirts of the city. We would prefer a 4 star hotel, one that has nice rooms and friendly staff. We can only afford around 2,500 baht a night though. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a silly question, but I don't know the answer. I am from Canada, so I hope this doesn't sound ignorant. I can speak Lao...barely, but I can completely understand Lao. While I was in Thailand, I found that they could understand my Lao, but often when they spoke fast I couldn't understand them. Are there two languages in Thailand, or maybe dialects? Or were they simply just speaking really fast?

anyone else seen this website for thailand hotels...i only looked briefly at hotel rates for phuket but the prices seem to be lower here....what do you think?????? plus you get credit to book another trip with them...if i use them i guess i could book the first couple nights up north and then use the reward points to book the rest of the trip.... does it look ligit???

hi, i will be travelling to Hat Yai on 20th July, staying for about 1 to 2 days, then flying back.
I know that the political climate is unstable etc.
But considering that i will only be staying for a few days, do you think it will be safe?

Whats the weather going to be like? When we are in Bangkok we are staying at the Grand China Princess is the GCP close to Pantip Plaza? or the MBK centre? and how cheap are clothes and shoes really, how much say for shoes in AUS dollars? What and where are some great things to see like temples and the like? most of our time in Thailand is in Phuket - patong beach - is it possible to book fishing tours when you are there as our travel agent could not book any for us? is it possible to hire motorbikes in phuket? whats the night life like? how much are the drinks. also any general tips about going to Thailand would be great.
