The previous answer is correct with the airlines that service Koh Samui. Here are a couple of Sites that will help you out.

If you can schedule your trip around the full moon. Hat Rin is real close to Koh Samui and is noted for one of the best Full moon Parties in Thailand. A real rager that is a total blast. Many hotels sponsor boat trips to the party and you can always get the ferry over and stay for a couple of days. Careful there. Hang overs are notorious as well.

Bangkok Airways flies to Koh Samui. However, you can get a flight from Singapore or Hong Kong not just Bangkok.

Our airport is owned by the airline so unfortunately no other airline can fly into Samui.

If you fly into Suratthani or any other area, you will be taking a bus by way of a ferry to Samui.
