It depends on which bank you are talking about. every branch has a different swift code to help with international transfers of money. The swift code makes sure the money goes to the correct bank.
'SWIFT CODES' are a method of identifying Banks (and currencies) around the world, and is an efficient method for transferring money internationally (but not the only method). I had been in remittance for about ten years and it's really dumb to ask BIC code in Yahoo. Write to Bangkok Bank (if you mean BBL). BTW, outside Europe no one yet use IBAN.
