There are some beautiful waterfalls in Nakon Nayok, about 45 minutes from Bangkok. You can hire a taxi for a whole day to go there and back for 1000 baht and they will stay all day and wait for you.
Besides the waterfalls, there is also the Ta-Da Dam (sorry I do not know the correct spelling of this) within minutes of the Sarika Waterfall in Nakon Nayok.
Check out this link courtesy of www.visualthailand.com and you will see some current photos of the Waterfalls in Nakon Nayok

Then if you check out this second link, courtesy of www.visualthailand.com you can see a 40 second video clip of the Haew Suwat Waterfall in Khao Yai National Forest which, once again a taxi will go for the whole day for 1500 baht. This is the waterfall in the Leonardo DiCaprio film "The Beach"

Khao Yai is a great experience as wild animals roam all over from Elephants, tigers, baboons, deer, etc. (Please be advised this is a not a zoo and these animals are all wild and to them you probably look like a chicken mcnugget.)
Nakon Nayok and Khai Yai are definitely worth a trip. If you need a reliable english speaking taxi driver, contact me.

Pretty sure there's none in Bangkok - youl have to travel to one of the national parks to see decent waterfalls. I went to Kanchanaburi where you'll find the Erawan National Park and Erawan waterfall which is beautiful. There's a trek around the waterfall you can do, and the entrance fee gets you into the caves about 10km further on. Also around the Kanchanaburi area is the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Tiger Temple (a sanctuary for injured wild animals- you can stroke the tigers!)
If you're around Phuket, there's several waterfalls you can travel to, namely Ton Sai (about 20km away from central Phuket) and Bang Pae (about 35km away). Bang Pae is in the rainforest with lots of animals to see.
If you get a chance, visit the Samutprakan Crocodile Farm (you can get info from hotels/touristy places). It's a fascinating experience, especiall walking over a bridge with 100 crocodiles several feet below you!

There is NO natural waterfall in Bangkok. Bangkok is a huge city and it is in a river delta - VERY flat.
The only waterfall that I know of in BKK is at THE MALL - a shopping centre at Bang Kapi. It is very nice big mall and the water fall is in the main foyer falling four stories. It also have some fantastic fishes from south America on display there.
