Everwhere I look, I see different answers on this so ….... EXPATS ….... PLEASE HELLLLLLLLP !!!!

I'm visitng THAILAND for just OVER 30 days … I think it's 32 actually. Do I need a VISA ahead of time or can I get one at the Airport when I arrive. I heard I could but only for 30 DAYS then do the VISA RUN thing …. which I really don't want to do!!

Even the TRAVEL GUIDE that the THAI CONSULATE in TORONTO sent me says,

"According to the Ministry of Interior Ministerial (wow, that's and odd name for a Government Department!!), tourists from some countries can obtain a visa on arrival in the Kingdom if their stay does not exceed 15 DAYS."

and on the previous page it says,

"According to the Ministry of Interior Ministerial, tourists from some countries DO NOT REQUIRE A VISA when entering Thailand if their stay in the Kingdom if their stay does not exceed 30 DAYS."

EXCUSE ME???? Is there a bit of a contradiction here or is it just ME ?????

Any KNOWLEDGEABLE help please??

I've got a flight to thailand which arrives on the 26th dec, but need to get to phuket same day, which is causing problems as my late arrival time, as i'm used to booking internal flights on arrival, and the time of year doesn't help the price.
Anyone have any sites or addresses for cheap flights? please

Are they free to visit in general? From indoor and outside?

Might we be wearing short pants and T-shirt if visiting only from the outside?

1. I have been in Thailand for 26 days and my permission to be in Thailand expires soon.
2. Should I file an Application for Temporary Stay (TM 7) or should I take a day trip to Cambodia and re-enter Thailand?
3. If I file an Application for Temporary Stay (TM 7) do I also need to take an outgoing airline ticket? (Any ideas on how long the process will take at the immigration office?)
Thank you for your assistance.

Steve

Hello guys and gals... I have been recently offered a job in Bangkok with $ 3000 net salary. My prospective employer is paying for the Income Tax and covering the rent electricity & water bills. Pls tell me if $3000 salary is enough to have a above average lifestyle along with my wife, which includes once a week going to pub, eating out and shopping. What kind of salary is this in Bangkok - below average, average, above average, good, very good, excellent, wow ! I have 8 years of working experience.......Pls help me in taking the decision

My boyfriend and i are staying in Pattaya for 5 days. We planned to only stay for 2 days, but for personal reasons we will have to stay for 5.

I was wondering what are some things to do to keep us occupied while we are there. We are 25 years old and are up for anything.

Also, should we book a hotel in advance for our stay, or will we be able to walk and find a hotel very early in the morning (around 2-3 am). We were thinking Beach Rd.

We will be there Dec. 2-6. We land in Bangkok at midnight at the new airport, then plan to either take a cab or bus to Pattaya. What do you think will be our best bet to getting to Pattaya... bus?...taxi? Will the bus be running at that time?

Hello,

I am planning to stay in Bangkok (or Bangkok area) from 1st February, 2008 till 27th May, 2008.

I have been researching and looking around for a while, but there is SO much information, and it differs a lot. So I decided to ask you guys here.

My goal is to find the cheapest option for my plan:

- Live 3 months in Bangkok (or the area);
- Access to the Internet;
- To be sure that my stuff won`t get stolen from my home;
- A gym fairly close;
- Not-complicated access to the city center.

That`s all I need. Maybe someone of you will know the particular place?! What type of accomodation I should look for (maybe apartment)?

And...

- As I`ve heard that in Bangkok there are available very high quality formal suits for real bargain prices, where should I look for such a place?

Thank you everyone.
Thank you
