How to spend 10 days in Bangkok?

Question

I am single, Asian lady in late 20's and will stay in Bangkok for 10 days! Any fun and cool ideas to do, I would not mind having a bit of wild nights ;). Anyone who will be in Bangkok between 05-15 Nov 2007, please send me a msg.

Let me add a couple of things. 50 pounds should be more than enough per day if you have already paid your housing costs. As karazyal said, book something near the Skytrain and the city is pretty much yours. You can buy tourist or commuter cards and the cost of transport will drop dramatically. Taxis are also cheap and plentiful. Chiang Mai and Laos are sort of in opposite directions so, you might be better served to plan two separate trips. Aside from 10 days in BKK, how long are you spending in Thailand and SE Asia? Also as karazyal said, BKK is a normal arrival and departure point. For me, I see BKK through very different eyes after I've been in country for a while. I like spending time there as I come and go. That said, the city will wear you out. Hustle and Bustle is one thing. Heat and humidity will slow you right down. :) Don't forget to plan some down time while you are there.

If I were in my 20's, I would go down to the RCA or Royal City Avenue area. Lot's of young asians, all kinds of different music. I think it is the place to go. It's located off Phetchaburi Road and Sukhumvit Soi 39 near the overhead rails. There are like 3-5 discos there. I went there with some thai friends cause I was curious and like I said if I were a 20-30 y.o. that is where to hang out and party.

Also, the Q-Bar on Sukhumvit Soi 11 is pretty nice. Small place with a bar upstairs and disco bar downstairs. Lots of farang hang out there.

If you're staying over the weekend, check out the weekend market called Chatuchak, but do go in the mornings before the crowd starts pouring in...
Try, instead of taking the conventional bus or taxi, use the tuk-tuk or better still, try one of the boat buses along the klongs (river). But don't wear a mini-skirt for this!
For cheap shopping, Chatuchak is like a flea market, where else, if in air-conditioned mall, try the MBK or Mah Boon Krong Mall....

both nightclubs are good if you hunting guys.
tell them you're thai, than they will over you some money in the morning.
