Is there any hotel where i can stay and have lady visitors visit me in my hotel room?
do I have to pay extrat if she sleeps over?
if she leave the room beore 9PM do i still have to pay?
must I ask permission from the hotel management before I let the lady come into my room?
It is good to know the rules before getting inot trouble.
The names of hotels that are lady visitor friendly would be appreciated.

It's true that Ambassador and a few other hotels with more stars than common sense have such a policy.

However, must other hotels do not.

If you can do without a swimming pool, then try places such as City Lodge (soi 9 or soi 19) or Accor Pacific's Regency (soi 22).

The reason they make you register the woman is for your safety. In case she drugs you or robs you. They and you have a record of who was there. The 800 baht or whatever is to defer the cost.

Where? Everyone seems to know the list by bangkoktonight.com, http://bangkok2night.com/hotels/guest_friendlyx.shtml

I will add The Emerald Hotel on Ratchadapisek Road, though you will have to pay extra and register the lady unless you do what I did. I registered a female guest who was my girlfriend at the time and so I never got hassled. My ex-girlfriend was quite liberal about my need for sex. In the evening they have a person watching WHO gets on the elevators. They have a list of guests and they never have asked if the woman was my girlfriend.

The Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel on Ratchadapisek and Rama IX. Again you will have to register the lady and pay extra. I watched a party of 3-4 women and 3 guys check in so to speak.

Now the last one The Chao Phya Park Hotel is a bit further up Ratchadapisek Road. Now, I only stayed here once but, they never check even to see if you are staying in the hotel.
The hotel is a 15 minute subway ride from Sukhumvit.

Good luck and enjoy

This is only prevalent in Bangkok as the hotel management are worried about you bringing hookers to their establishments. So they will ask you to pay if there are 2 people staying in the room, instead of one. There will be some hotels which will ignore this. So check with the hotel that you are checking in on their policy on this.

As for Chiangmai, you pay for the room irrespective if you are single or double. So no issue there.

First the answerer got it wrong. Many hotels in BKK practise charges for ladies to stay over - unless you register her as a perm guest. However, if you have a few ladies coming to stay during your trip there then you may want to find a girls friendly hotel.

A simple guideline - 5 star hotels do not require you to pay extra charges for the ladies. Most budget hotels do ... however you can check the following website for girl friendly hotels

In most hotels you pay for the room NOT per person. Ask your lady ( Ladies? ) and move to another hotel if yours charges you extra!
