I am from Illinois and i am debating whether i should go to Arizona State or Iowa. I have been accepted to both but i can't amke up my mind. i hate winter, and i love Arizona State, but the distance is keeping me from going there. I must ask this in the Los Angeles area where poeple are more concerned:

I thought my city (Burbank,CA) was preserved from massive immigration (especially hispanic) but saturday i went Xmas shopping and could hear spanish in every corner of the mall, it is turning into Mexico as well. I saw a record low number of Anglo-European like me, maybe less than 1 in 5.

What must i do (other than moving, i am at home here)?

OK, we are thinking about renting an RV in March for 2 weeks and heading out from our home in North Carolina (Winston-Salem area) and going south and west. We don't want to go to Florida - we've pretty much seen it. The one thing we want to do is the Natchez Trace National Parkway from Nashville to Natchez, Mississippi. Hello, I am flying into LAX tomorrow from PDX to attend a concert at Staples. I have eight hours before and after the concert to find something to do with. I would like to see the walk of stars, and the "Hollywood" sign during the day, and maybe go check out a couple gay bars after the show.

My schedule is:Dec. 5th Leave PDX 10:25am, arrive LAX 12:40pm.
Return trip home: Dec. 6th Leave LAX 8:20am, arrive PDX 10:25pm

I will be staying with a friend, but I have never been to LA before and this is my Christmas present to myself and I wanna have a great time! Most of the time I will be by myself.

I'm a 17 year old guy, white, and I'm going to India for a week to attend a wedding with my two younger sisters and my father. My sisters are used to wearing very revealing clothing in the hot weather. I'm talking about very short shirts and tight tank tops. I'm very worried because I know Indian men love white women and my sisters are very naive and probably wouldn't see the problem with wearing that revealing clothing there. Can I get any advice or reassurance? I'm scared for them and feel like I need to be with them at all times when we go. They are 14 and 16, and blonde.

I was reading a short story set in Ireland for school. It was about the war between the Republicans and the Free Staters. I have to make a posterboard for this story (It's "The Sniper". You can read it on the web). Does anyone know if the Republicans were the Protestants and the Free Staters were the Catholics (since, both religions aren't getting along very well there)?
