Hi all, im thinking about moving to Dublin within the next year. Im looking for a good peacfull area (preferably closer to city centre). Your oppinions are appreciated. Also where is a good place to look over the internet. Thanks.

Rathmines is a great area close to Centre of Town on the South Side ,plenty of Pubs and Clubs,Ranelagh ,Sandymount. Dun Laoghaire/ Dun Leary is a Town5 miles away on the Dart its a very nice area. On the North Side Marino is about 11/2 miles from Town and is very Quiet. Artane is nice 3 Miles from Town, Raheny is 6 Miles very nice , Sutton, Howth. Portmarnock, Malahide very nice but Snobby. ON the West you have Lucan it has some very nice Areas, Ballyowen, Willsbrook, Griffeen Valley. Esker,There is the New Area of Lucan off The Newcastle Road ,Addamstown it is a Town in itself, IT has already Schools and all Amenities and beside the New Railway Station.The Navan Road Area ,Ashington Avenue ,Priory, Kinvara Rd, Castleknock Area . All these are very nice Areas to live in. My House .ie Daft.ie Sherry Fitzgerald.ie Dublin is quiet Expensive to Buy or rent Houses in.

Not Sure But Dublin so SO expensive. My friend has a 1 bedroom house with a combined lving room and kitchen near the centre, and is selling it for approx £350,000

Dublin - very expensive all over. I'd look to the west if I were you, much nicer there anyway.
