Hi could anyone who has visited the phillipines tell me where to look re missing persons. A family member (my brother) left australia 5 months ago to go to the Phillipines, he has visited before the areas that westerners frequent to meet women. I'm wondering if anyone has the names of the popular bars or areas that western men usually frequent for sex when travelling to this country. He has travelled their a few times and would likely be in the areas/suburbs that are popular for this type of "tour". I would appreciate any help as family members are concerned. Cheers :)

Just wanted to ask some travellers how much money is required to spend entirely on food if staying for 30 days in Bulgaria for a single person (I am going to live in the city of Sofia). Are there any recommendations for relatively cheap restaurants and cafe's in Sofia? Is it true that american dollars are more popular than a national bulgarian currency?

I recently got out of a heartbreaking 3 year relationship. I feel like i am losing my mind. I need to get away and i do not want to go with anyone but myself and my 2 puppies.. I was just curious as to why people from other countries choose to vacation in the U.S. I mean compared to all these other places that you could go, with rich history and gorgeous architecture, and a more defined culture than what can be found in the U.S., what draws you to go through the increased hassle of comming here.-by the way I have nothing against living here, just curiouse on why it would be an interesting place to visit.

I'd like to visit some friends in California, but I don't want to wait for my passport. Since we can still cross the border with our ID only, would it be possible to drive to an American City, such as New York, then take a plane from there to Los Angeles?

Would like to spend about 4 days in and around Pasadena CA rose parade coming from Oklahoma City. Have large family (8 people). What is the cheapest way to go? Fly, drive, motorhome? How do we find the cheapest motels and food and possibly airfare for 8 people. Is it possible to camp out just before the parade? Would like to hear from someone who's been, there done that. Is is possible to get good motel reservations now? If so, what motel(s) would you recommend. Maybe a motel with kitchen? What else is there to see and do in Pasadena the end of December and 1st of January? Maybe fly near Pasadena and rent a van or depend on public transportation?
