A difficult comparison, one small town and a big country.
I think Limerick is a good place to live, in the USA you can find places that are as good, (or even better,) and places that are worse.
But I think you just want to see your opinion proved, not want to know the truth, so whatever we say you will pick the place you think is best.
Remember however, every place you live is as good as you make it yourself.
If you are in Limerick wishing you were in the USA live is less than good, but if you live in the USA wishing you were in Limerick, the same would apply.
Make friends where you live, enjoy life, and try to learn or earn enough to move at a later date.

That's a tricky question - comparing a big country with a relatively small city.
To answer - I guess the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
Assuming you mean Limerick Ireland not Limerick Pennsylvania?
