The Opera House is the premier theater in all of Australia, showcasing the arts. It was such an important landmark that the government invited bids for the design of the theatre around the world.

Another similarity would be that they are both by the water.

In Sydney it's The Opera House and the closest counterpart in the Philippines would have to be The Cultural Centre.
