In a few weeks I will be taking a trip to Lake Placid from Tornoto to see the fall leaves. Does anyone have any suggestions on things to see along the way? Also does anyone have any suggestions on a place to stay near Lake Placid? Thanks in advance for any help.

There must be enough people who would make that trip to make it worth while?

New legislation may be coming into effect soon that will make the cost of general aviation so high that almost no one will be able to earn a pilots license or do anything related to general aviation. As I skydiver this is very concerning to me. My sport is having a hard time getting new members because of costs. This bill would not only make skydiving much more expensive but it would make all other general aviation activities very expensive as well.

The gist of the new legislation would be to decrease the amount of money the government spends on aviation and put the cost for aviation on the public. This is for all aviation! Not just general, your plane ticket to see grandma at the holidays will be going up too.

What do you think about this issue?

I'm biased. I don't wait to have the costs go up anymore and keep me on the ground.

Please look at this site for more information about the issue:

For Malaysians travellers, do you experience difficulties in sending sms from Sidney to Malaysia and do you need to do any settings to send or receive sms there?

For Australians friends, beside Optus, which are the other telco networks available in Sidney? Do you have any problems before sms to your friends overseas.

I am asking this because with the assumption that if you are using Optus network, you might not be able to sms to overseas friends (who are using prepaid cards) and their networks are not supported by Optus.

Thank you for your help in advance :)

Hi, my husband and I are looking for something to do this weekend (Sept 22nd) for our 6th wedding anniversary. We enjoy nature-ish things and would like to spend at least one night. We were thinking of the usual Monterey or the San Mateo coast at a bed and breakfast but wanted something more original...any suggestions???

I mean seriuosly, its like your lucky if you survive riding the "metro" trains in Mumbai, it's scary as H-E-L-L, I went there 2 years ago when some of my cousins and I had some money to travel, India was what was most affordable, we thought that ridding the metro in Mumbai would be like here in Monterrey, Mexico (where we are from) but it was totally different, i can not believe a survived, after rdding it I pinched my self to find out if a was still a living person or a dead soul. Befora that I always used to think my country was so third wolrd and crowded, disorganized, polluted, with horrible public transportation (metro, buses, etc...), but after going to India, I see my Mexico as a developed country compared to India, if you dont believe i will put a youtube video of the Mumbai metro, and Monterrey Mexico metro so you can compare

Do your husbands pull their weight around the house & help out with the daily chores or is it mainly left to you......? If it is , is that a cultural thing or is it just that you didn't use the correct training manual ....?

I live on an island which is visited by cruise ships, so it seems illogical to fly elsewhere to get on the boat that's then going to come back to where I live! I understand that there are certain embarkation points, etc., but can I just do 'part' of it!? Likewise, if I got on elsewhere, it would seem plain daft to dock where I live a day or two before I'm due to fly home again! Can I just finish the cruise at that point?! I'm sorry if this is a silly question - I just have NO idea where cruises are concerned! Thanks for your help.

But cannot find a place where to park my corolla overnight and get some sleep, does anybody know of a parking lot (mall, bus...) where I can park overnight. Or a city in this area where the Police cannot move me from the streets (already did in Torrance)

For example: I love it when someone says, 'We eat a lot of tomatoes in THE TURKEY.' (i giggle) Or 'I FEEL MYSELF tired.' (again, giggling)
Also, tell us the funny mistake we foreigners make when speaking Turkish.

I currently live in Baltimore Maryland. I don't like really anything about Maryland and have been thinking about moving to SC but I'm only familiar with Myrtle Beach. I would like to live in an area with decent jobs, corporate businesses, but still within 30 minutes from the beach. Also I know from research that Myrtle Beach has very affordable apts (they cost a lot in Baltimore).
What are some other good places to live in SC? Is Myrtle Beach okay for jobs or is it mostly touristy? What about nearby Myrtle Beach? Will also look at NC or GA- Any suggestions?
I need stuff nearby- it can't be too small a town- I'm a 24yr old female and I like to have a good time.
