I am proud of my city. Although there are irratations over some issues all in all its great.

I live 155 miles SOUTH of Montreal and YES I have been there several times..... I've been to Quebec, Toronto, Vancouver and points north of Vancouver several times as well.... All 3 of the cities I have visited are very beautiful.... even in the most "run down" parts of towns, there is pride in the people and the streets are almost always spotlessly clean--no garbage along the roadsides. I found the people in Quebec, Toronto and Vancouver to be extremely friendly and polite---I found the people in Montreal to be a little more standoffish and most, but not all, unwilling to speak English even though they ALL CAN....They are stedfast FRENCH in their culture and plan on keeping it that way....but to visit there is a GREAT experience.

yep that`s where i live...i like it and i love the fact that it`s a bilingual city, though we are too tolerant towards the english minority...i used to work at Montréal Courthouse( palais de justice) and when some people didn`t speak french we served them in english; i mean damn it if you go to Toronto or Vancouver courthouse and ask to be served in french they won`t do it so why should we serve people in english here in Montréal when the bill 101 says clear that French is the first language of Québec.

about a dozen times, about a half dozen of those times were when i was 18 ( only place in eastern north america you can legally drink at 18 )
