I mean seriuosly, its like your lucky if you survive riding the "metro" trains in Mumbai, it's scary as H-E-L-L, I went there 2 years ago when some of my cousins and I had some money to travel, India was what was most affordable, we thought that ridding the metro in Mumbai would be like here in Monterrey, Mexico (where we are from) but it was totally different, i can not believe a survived, after rdding it I pinched my self to find out if a was still a living person or a dead soul. Befora that I always used to think my country was so third wolrd and crowded, disorganized, polluted, with horrible public transportation (metro, buses, etc...), but after going to India, I see my Mexico as a developed country compared to India, if you dont believe i will put a youtube video of the Mumbai metro, and Monterrey Mexico metro so you can compare

If you compare the cost you will find out the reason. The cost of transportation per kilometer is very low.It is made affordable to the poor people also.India is a country where you can travel with out a car.You can go any where through rail or bus or rail and bus .If you see that at Mumbai about 35 lakhs people(3500000) use sub urban rail service alone every day you will understand the problems.
I agree that the rail service requires improvements ,such as cushioned seats, seats for all, more frequency etc.The Railways are having a master plan to improve services.New cars had been added.
If you have gone to New Delhi ,capital of India you may be having a different opinion, where latest model rail service and bus service are available.
But I understand Mexico is also not an affluent country like USA or UK.I have not visited Mexico. The general understanding and reading material available indicate that general living conditions in Mexico is not even as good as in India.May be public transport bit better.I am not sure.

Investigate the town that never sleeps and is always abuzz with activity. This city is Mumbai! Discover it with hotelbye . Mumbai is in all methods a mega-city pushed by energy, wealth, glamour and fame which draws people to give shape with their dreams and aspirations. Mumbai can also be a city with solid old links, wonderful British structure, museums, beaches, places of worship, and most importantly, a real universe of stars where Bollywood reigns supreme. You can not visit Mumbai and not need enjoyment on their beaches and the two hottest beaches are the Juhu Beach and the Chowpatty Beach.

India has great transport for a third world country.
Im in Australia now and is is imposible to get anywhere without a car, the transport here is sparce, at least i could get around in India.
The train and bus journeys in India are a colourfull experience, and it is the indian national physci and culture you are contending with on those trains.
I like the timetables in India, most people have timetables for a reason, in india they just have them because they can. Its funny that most trains were many many hours late, or cancelled, but at least i could get around.

Because the British people sucked all the wealth of our country and made us poorer. This is for the first respondent.

The answer to question is -

Hi Dear great video capture in Mumbai.

When we are paying Rs. 10/- (equivalent to 0.2 euro) for traveling 50 Kilometer (50 miles) what great we can expect !

You check Metro in Kolkata and New Delhi it would look like Metro of Mexico.

Mexico Area is 1,972,550 km² and population is 108700891
Average Density = 55 person per km²

India Area is 3,287,590 km² and population is 1114017280
Average Density = 338 person per km²

So think of the load on transportation.

Also the poverty is much higher in India. We need to have transportation for all.

Because the British Empire is no longer running it .

To my critic. It has taken you a heck of a long time to put right something that was not broken. !
