I am seriously considering Cork for my work holiday (from the US). It will begin in Jan. 2008 and end in May 2008.
Will I have great difficulty in finding work at this time of the year?
Would staying in a Cork hostel long-term be advisable?

I never been up there but the temperatures are always the highest in the B.A. Anyone live/been there and can explain what it is like and why it is always so hot there???

Am looking for a place to swim with dolphins for children under 10. I know you can at Sea World but thought there might be a quieter, not so commercial place to take 3 children, aged 4, 7, 7. If anyone knows of a place that can be accessed by car from Sydney( east coast of Australia) , maybe a therapeutic program for children or similar? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have been told that it's due to headwinds, but a friend of mine recently said it's because your flying in the opposite direction that the world is turning... I think thats very wrong because as far as I know, as we're in the gravitaional field of this earth, the spinning really doesn't affect us at all does it?

My wife, a filipina, said she saw an ad on TFC about a new hotel in Vegas that is looking exclusively for Filipino workers. The hotel is still under construction, but she said the owner is willing to pay for workers to come from the Philippines, and they pay him back through their wages.
Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!
