I am going to the Renault event at Castle Donnington on 8th/9th September and need to find somewhere to stay. All the hotels are full and also the Kings Mill camping and caravan site is full. I did find a small caravan site on the internet but can't find it again, does anyone know of any sites in the surrounding area (prefrably within walking distance). Please help or I am going to be sleeping in my car!

Why are we (meaning Australians) the un-funniest people on the planet, now im not claiming to be Comedy's Messiah but i know whats funny - WE are not funny and there are no funny people.
Lets look at our "comedians"
- Rove McManus, the root of all evil, the worlds unfunniest man who uses childish jokes to make himself seem appealing.
- Dave Hughes, the man with the annoying voice, he is repetitive and very lame.
- Fiona O'Loughlin, probably the worst out of the bunch. Uses sex jokes constantly and never shuts up about her kids.
There are more - Cameron Knight, Justin Kennedy, Gary Eck, Mick Molloy etc.

The only funny one i can think of is Peter Helliar, he is funny. Laid back, doesnt try too hard and has a hilarious alter-ego ... Strauchanie!

So Australia, should we just stop trying to do comedy?
(Not really a quick question anymore is it?)

...to people who work in the services industry, i.e. cashiers, managers, basically anyone who has to put up with a lot of customers' sh!t on a daily basis?
Does the thought that they've probably already had at least 15 people before you with the same question/comment/problem as you, before you?

I'm not griping, just wondering. Normally customers are really nice but you get people that no-one wants to serve, even if it means that you lose them as customers...
As a cashier you realise how easy it is to get tired of the same comments from different faces E.V.E.R.Y S.I.N.G.L.E D.A.Y... And you still have to be "Sannie Sonskyn".
Your views?

Have a nice week guys! =)

Hey guys.
I am going to be in Zürich for a week next month, and I want to know something different to do, I will go check out Bahnhofstrasse and all the rest of the touristy stuff but that's not what really is going to make the place memorable.

For example, I am going to be in the Hague a couple of weeks later and one of the things I've managed to get organised is to go see the International Court of Justice in session when someone is standing trial for west african genocide. Now Zürich doesn't need to be THAT impactful or sobering, but what will REALLY make it stick out in an Australian's mind?

A friend of mine recently went to Europe and her travel agent asked for her "EU passport" to book her internal Ryanair flights (although she flew on her NZ passport for other flights).. Now I'm unsure as to whether they allow people outside of Europe to book? Thanks in advance :)
