I love camping! Don't forget: rope to make a clothesline, lantern and/or headlamp for night, tinfoil and oven mitt, camping chair, mosquito repellant and sunscreen, work gloves for packing up, a warm hat if there's any chance at all that it will be cold at night, a first aid kit, salt and pepper, tablecloth, Lysol wipes are super handy, garbage bags, a swiss army knife, bungee cords, an axe or hatchet, newspaper for firestarter, matches or lighter, etc. have fun!

Aluminium foil. Best campfire cooking ever: all your fave veggies + hamburger + foil packet dropped in hot coals= delicious, easy dinner.
Also, socks. You can never have too many socks. Socks for your hands if it gets cold. Socks to change into if the ones on your feet get wet. Just throw in a couple of extra pairs.

it really depends on where or what extreme situation your camping wants you to go.
of course, food and water a must have, all should be lightweight or as i'd said, depends on your camping place. if your camping site just near your car, you can carry all the comfort of your home.
if you are camping and required to walk 5 miles, you can just carry all the basic needs, foods, water just enough to carry and last overnight if youre just doing it overnight
