you should contact the LIRR for train schedules and fares. there are trains that run from Long Island to Jamaica station in Queens, then transfer from Jamaica station to Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn. From there you can pick up buses or subways based on your destination in Brooklyn.

Take the LIRR and transfer at Jamaica. Then take the LIRR Brooklyn train to Flatbush and Atlantic Avenue. As far as schedule

Long Island Rail Road. go to www.mta.info and u will find schedule. Then it will stop in Penn Station and u can get 2,3,A,C trains to Brooklyn

take train to flatbush avenue from whatever stop u are getting on. lirr.org ca give u shedules and fairs from where u are leaving from.
