I told you to contact me for more help...
And he is not lucky, he got the right tip... from me :-)
Anyway, I´m assuming it´s a phone interview, I know sometimes people who are not far are requested to go there, to Bristol.
Anyway, things to say:
- you love working with people
- you think people on vacation expect a high standard of service
- a satisfied client comes back
- you like dicipline
-they love the word "career", its normal since the turnover on ships is huge, people miss their families, miss normal lives, etc...
-When a clients walks into the shop, be friendly, address him/her immediatly, acknowledge this presence even if you are serving someone else.

not to say:
- i like to travel.

they may ask:
whats second hand sale, or add-on sale:
Would you like chips with your burger,
or would you like to try the body lotion that goes with that perfume...
Also they may ask if you´ve heard of "Inch of Gold"
its chains of plated gold that people buy by the inch, you cut, put clasps... its a huge money maker for hardings and starboard, its very easy to make, and... you get to work sitting down...

Ive got a book on rules and regulations etc... but would need to send by email
Good luck

You lucky thing. Find out what you can about the company and the cruise line, dress smartly but not OTT and before you go, work out the answers to why you want a job on a cruise ship and what you can offer them etc. Try and relax and good luck.

the Question is "What can you offer the retail Company " on this ship VS. others they may already have interviewed. Good luck with the interview.

That has got to be one of the best jobs ever,,,you're very lucky to have this oppertunity...I would just relax, be yoursefl...explain to them why you would want to work on a cruise ship, and learn as much about the cruiseline as you can...the more that u know, the more they will be impressed...also you could say that you would treat customers as guests in ur house instead of customers...I have been on 30 cruises and I know what everyone's job is onbaord, so i could help you as much as i can...I wish you the best of luck, and if you have any questions, again, ill be happy to help you with whatever I can...good luck!!! = ]

You are so lucky!! Depending on what kind of job you're interviewing for....know about the cruise line...Be very personable and dress very nicely-but don't overdo your clothes or make-up.

I wish you the best!!
