Two of the better cruise lines for teenagers is Carnival and Royal Caribbean.

Carnival has Club O2 for teenagers ...

Is there a teen program onboard?

Carnival offers two different teen programs. For our 12-14 year old guests, Camp Carnival offers a wide range of activities from late night movies, sports night, teen disco, Karaoke, late night swimming under the stars, scavenger hunts, and many other age appropriate activities.

15 - 17 year olds have a place all their own as well, it's called Club 0 2. This program, like Camp Carnival, was created for these older teens it was designed and dedicated to our guests in the specific age groups. The older teens get a chance to show off during a Karaoke session, pool parties, late night dances, outdoor sporting events like basketball and ping pong.

Many of our ships feature lounges which are dedicated to both age groups. Some of these lounges feature video monitors with Playstation 2 or X-Boxes, as well as comfortable seating. High energy dance floors with state of the art lighting and sound have also become a mainstay in many of our "Teen Only" lounges.

Due to these programs onboard, it is Carnival's policy to restrict anyone under the age of 18 years old into the main disco after 11 PM. Casino guests must be 18 years of age to play the tables and the slot machines. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in the casino. Guests under the age of 16 are not permitted in the spa and gym. Guests between the ages of 16 and 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Also, all Carnival ships have a water slide. This is the water slide on the Carnival Glory (a Conquest class ship) ...

The two newest ships also have a very large outdoor movie screen, such as this one on the Carnival Liberty (the Carnival Freedom is the other one) ...

The best of the Royal Caribbean ships for teenagers are the two newest Voyager class ships (the Navigator and Mariner of the Seas) and the Freedom class of ships (Freedom, Liberty and Independence of the Seas). The reason is these five ships have an expanded teen center (which includes the Living Room and Fuel).

Our Navigators program is specially designed just for tweens. It's not some structured program of classes. You can come join activities and games when you want to, or just chill in our Living Room with your friends. And your parents won't worry about leaving you there, because every member of our Adventure Ocean® staff holds a college degree in education, recreation or related field and has experience working with children ages 3 - 17.

Our teen program isn't some structured set of classes or rules. We know you're almost an adult, and it's your vacation too. So we give you the freedom you deserve. You can join events all day, or come and go as you want. And we have two great places where you can get away from it all. The Living Room is a laid-back place you can just hang with your new friends. And Fuel is the place where the party is. Open 'til 2 a.m., you can dance, listen to music, or just hang out there.

Go on the royal Caribbean ships Freedom of the Seas of Liberty of the seas. They have THE best activities for teens including the rock climbing walls, the flow rider where you can surf on a boogie board right on ship, an ice skating rink, a full sized basketball court, a mini-golf course, a place to record karaoke programs, and other programs just for teens. Your teens will have a ball on these ships. They have a pizza parlor on the main mall in the middle of the ship that is open 24 hr a day with all the pizza and other food you could want.

Disney !!! I know that sounds lame, but I'm 15 and I went on a disney cruise and LOVED it. They have a teen only place with a non-alcoholic bar, and dance floor. The service is great, they have nightly shows, the pirates on the caribbean party is amazing, and the rooms are alot bigger than other cruises I've been on.

royal caribbean has great stuff, but it might be alittle bit for the older crowd like 18 +

im 17 and i have been cruising with RC for ever. There are plenty of stuff for younger kids dont get me wrong.

But the fun stuff(drinking)happens when your 18 which makes RC and most cruises better for older people.

But RC still has plenty of good things that kids can do. Camp, The whole back part of the ship is meant for kids, Basketball courts, rock climbing, FOOD!, mini golf. Plenty of stuff.

I would either say Carnival or Royal Caribbean. RCL probably would be the best way to go. Royal Caribbean has things for the adults to go with no kids in sight while the kids have things for themselves like rock climbing, teen clubs, ice skating, etc.

Im 14 & i HIGHLY suggest disney cruise lines! It is THE only fun ship. DO NOTTT go on carnival! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! you pay cheap- you get cheap! its dirty, there are diapars in the water, food thrown on the floor, & the teen activities are LAME. disney goes the extra mile deffinatly! & i guarantee your teens/kids WONT have fun on carnval. WORSTE ship EVER!!!!!! RC is pretty good as well! good luck & hope this helped :] ps: im jelouse i wanna go!! haha

Honestly, it really doesnt matter. On most cruise lines, they offer a teen club where teens can chat, play games, and meet new people.
