My wife, a filipina, said she saw an ad on TFC about a new hotel in Vegas that is looking exclusively for Filipino workers. The hotel is still under construction, but she said the owner is willing to pay for workers to come from the Philippines, and they pay him back through their wages.
Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

I don't think it's a scam. It was on The Filipino Channel, and that is pretty wide spread. It'd be too risky to do that.
Also I hear it's because Filipinos are dedicated workers and like to smile. Unlike us Americans that tend to be lazy and get bad tempered.

No way! Any "payback" through wages for relocation costs is a violation of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution because it amounts to indentured servitude. I recall some dairy farmers in Orange County, California going to prison in the 1960s because they had indentured servants from the Fresian Island of Netherlands on their dairy farms. There are several hotels under construction on the Strip. Some of them might want to avoid any deal with the Culinary Union. But, none of them want to get into trouble with the Feds!

There are no such thing that a company only hire one nationality. And no one will hire people out of state and pay them to get here just to work in the hotel. Since USA already had SO MANY people need a job for living, The City will not allow the owner to do that either, cos just not fair for our people!! Wake up, NO FREE LUNCH in THIS WORLD!!.....
