I am looking to travel with my child aged of 5 yrs of age and was wondering if my child can get the Hepatitis A & B before traveling out of the country. My child's health and safety are number one and don't want to risk him to anything as well the children at his school. I will choose not to travel if not protected somehow especially with today's terrible list of illness.

Serious replies only, I would appreciate, thank you.

i witnessed an event while vacationing in Gizwil, Switzerland and to this day am curious whether it was a one time thing or a regular event. basically a whole bunch of what seemed to be local folk assembled in the mass hall of the Bahnhof Inn (i think, it could have been a next-door eatery of some sort). people were all in good mood, taking turns on the stage signing folk songs, drinkning, having great time. it very well could have been a wedding, except there was no bride or groom, at least i didnt spot them.

if memory serves, this was in the spring of 2005.

question is, what was that?

This question is generally directed toward anyone who lives in the United Kingdom or anyone who knows about modern British culture.

I just want to know this for my own information. As an American, I am kind of shady about the details of what it takes to be a modern-day knight. From my perspective, it seems to be a form of popularity contest.

Back in the middle ages, knights were generally anyone with military gifts - whether it be an excellent swordsman or strategist. I also know that they had to follow the acts of chivalry.

Forgive me, but I can't see Elton John matching any of these qualities. (In fact, Elton John with a sword is a scary thought.)

Any information you give would be most appreciated.

I am going off to college next year and want to take my parents on a vacation before I go. They are both in their mid-60s and enjoy less strenuous activities like going to movies, eating out, and sight-seeing. Are there any beautiful vacation spots where I will be able to find fun things for them to do that do not take a heavy toll on them physically? Any ideas would be appreciated.

with my mum, it's in Ireland (Dublin), she has no form of ID shall we say, she has a paper driving licence, she has her disabled badge with a picture on, she has her old passports and still we can't travel, it's her sisters funeral and there are no emergency measures. She is not a seasoned traveller, we can't go by boat as the ferries are cancelled due to high winds and you don't need ID for that form of travel, yet immagrants flow into this country every day (UK)!!

Is this right?

I want to renew my Canadian passport which expires in April, 2007. I understand the waiting times are very long due to the new regulations for entry into the U.S. If I am only renewing my passport, do I need to go through the entire process or is sending in my passport for renewal acceptable? Thanks for any information you can provide me.

A good friend has just moved to China for a year (to Shangqiu) to teach English. I would like to send him a few care packages over the next year, but want to be sure that I find things that are allowed to be shipped to China. Can anyone let me know where I can find these kinds of guidelines? Also, if anyone has done something similar, do you have any suggestions for things you would have liked to recieve?
