I would have to say the island of Dominica *not to be mistaken with the spanish speaking island of Domincan republic.
The place is not overcommercialised and very prestine infact it is the main island Pirates of the Caribbean 2&3 did most of their filming.
The thing that makes it the ideal spot for honeymooners is its unique eco freindly resorts and cabins nestled and perched in the island lush natural green prestine Rain forest offering not the tacky services as the other over commercialised places.Offering what most honeymooners want Privacy in a garden of eden with REAL friendly services.
On a Honeymoon on the island there is much to sight see such as the 2nd largest boiling lake in the world ,largest of its kind and only one in the western hemisphere, Beautiful and Uncountable, Private waterfalls, fresh water lakes and 365 rivers.spotted all over the island.and also adventures to go on as snorkelling and scuba diving
The island was rated as the #2 spot in the atlantic by reader's choice magazien 2007
The island is also branded as the whale wathing Capital of The caribbean.Excellent for whale and Dolphin wathcing. There is also river tubing, ATV riding,Horse back riding and the list goes on..
It was also rated as the 4th most peacefu place in the world.
After viewing the webistes below and checking the various types of accomdation and the unbeliavable unique sites on this small englishs speaking island then the right choice will have to be the Island of Dominica*not to b mistaken with the Domincam Republic.

Some of the best vacation values are in the Caribbean; you can have an unforgettable honeymoon at any of the following: the Bahamas, Jamaica, and/or Puerto Rico. St. Thomas and St. Croix are also a lot of fun. And then, of course, there are the keys: Key West, in particular, is a blast. Have fun!!

Anybody else getting tired of Bajan Princess spamming this section with the same cut and paste answer to every question? 'Best' place is a very personal thing. If a crowded, active, beach scene is what you want, I'd recommend Dutch Sint Maarten, Puerto Rico, or maybe St. Lucia. If it's quiet and romantic you're looking for, with lush scenery but no beach, I'd suggest Dominica or Saba. Quiet and a beach? French St. Martin or St. Barths. Museums near by? Well, you get my point.... Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!

I've been to many spots in the Caribbean as ports of call on cruises. (I am going on another cruise this summer.) If I had to pick one place to revisit, I would choose St. Thomas, USVI. My second choice would be Grand Cayman. Both are beautiful.

I did a western carribean cruise for my honeymoon and really enjoyed it. You spend a bit more time on ship drinking and having fun but we had stops in grand camen, (got to swim with sting rays) one other island(cant recall name). Two stops in mexico, Then a full day in N.O. (french quarter and hurricanes yum) it left out of Tampa. Carnival cruises and I cant wait for my next chance to go. Kind of get a taste of everything

Try looking up the Sandals resorts and All-inclusive resorts.
I hear they are really great for Honeymooners and the adults only resorts will give you and your Hunny time to be alone w/other adults and no kids around.
Congrats and have a wonderful life together.
