Travel - 14 January 2007

I'll be in Rome for a while and I have to budget my money. So, how much do things cost? Just some random things that you could think of that I'll be buying......shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, different foods...ah, gelato, a winter coat (I'm still debating whether I should take one with me or just buy one there).....just things like that. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

We are going to Disney World on Wednesday and checking out on Sunday. Sunday happens to be my daughter's 7th birthday and was looking for something special to do before we came home. We were planning to drive home around 4 (we live about 3 hours away), so we have the morning and afternoon. Was thinking maybe something in Downtown Disney?? Any suggestions? I also have a 3 year old, if that matters.

Look i know this isn't a question but our government is considering changing the drinking law from 18 to 21 (like in america)!!! They are saying that we are reckless and that were doing our body terrible damage. What is your opinion on this new form of control! What about all of the just turned 18 yr olds? How do you feel to be able to go out for 3 months only to wait another 3 yrs?

Like if you wanted to ship an extra piece of luggage?

I am considering moving to one of the two cities to live. I do not have any kids, but I do have a large dog to consider. So any information about rentals, things to do, resturants, neighborhoods or anything at all would be greatly appreciated. I have checked many internet sites and hotel/casino sites but the rates on the weekend are almost 3 times as high as the ones during the week. Is there any way around that? Any trick or persuasion techniques anyone knows of? I must mention that I don't have any of those "player cards", but plan to sign up for as many as possible during my next visit beginning in March. But even if you have one of those cards, in order to get good room rates you have to spend a lot of money playing in order to qualify for a free room, don't you? I'm open for any tips!!!!

I have been to Disney a few times, but never to Island of Adventure at Universal. My 5yr old is really into Super Heroes, but wasn't sure if the rides/activites are suited for his age group. Just trying to do something different then Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (which wasn't that great). Thanks!

8 guys in their upper 20's looking to go on a cruise. Went last year on Carnival Triumph to Western Carribean (from Miami) and had a blast, but were a lot of kids, families, etc. Went at the end of July, looking at either late May or early June. What should we do?
