We are going to Disney World on Wednesday and checking out on Sunday. Sunday happens to be my daughter's 7th birthday and was looking for something special to do before we came home. We were planning to drive home around 4 (we live about 3 hours away), so we have the morning and afternoon. Was thinking maybe something in Downtown Disney?? Any suggestions? I also have a 3 year old, if that matters.

Downtown Disney!! Awesome! For little girls, check out the "Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique". It is inside the World of Disney Store. The "fairy godmother" working there will give them lovely hairdos and they can feel like real princesses. Check out the Disney website for more info. I imagine that you have to make appointments.

I was there in December, and while using the restroom in the store I ran into 2 little girls that just came from there and they were so excited! They were adorable. I am sure your daughter would love it.

Also, while at Disney, first thing when you get there, go to guest relations in the park and let them know that you are there to celebrate your daughter's birthday (do it every day you are there- you are celebrating for the entire time) and they will give her a button to wear. Cast member will give her extra attention!!

On the day you go to Magic Kingdom, arrive as soon as they open, IMMEDIATELY get on the train and go to TOON TOWN. When you get off the train, you will have to wait behind a rope in front of Mickey's House. When the characters come out, Goofy picks ONE CHILD PER DAY to ride his roller coaster with him. We did this in 2004 and my niece was chosen. It is a great thrill for the child! (and the rest of the family!)

Have a great time!!

Take an airboat ride! There is a great company called boggy Creek Airboat rides and tours. They are located off Poicicana Blvd. and Hwy 192 in the town of Poicicana - just outside of Kissimmee. It is about $21 a person and really worth it!

You could also visit Downtown Disney if you like - but there isn't a whole lot to do there besides shop and eat. You can also see a movie there - they have one of the nicest theatres I've ever been in at Downtown Disney.

After you check out of your hotel, head over to the Grand Floridian or Coronado Springs and go kayaking on either Bay Lake or the lake at Coronado Springs. You can also rent a small boat - those are fun!

Be sure to tell the folks at your resort when you check in that you'll be celebrating a birthday - even if it is the day you check out. Tell everyone while at Disney!

Gatorland is nice place. It's kind of like a zoo with shows and nice place to hang out for 4-5 hours. Minimum time required to see the entire place is 3 hours. If you plan to go, don't forget to watch Gator wrestling show. Have fun!
