We'll be bringing three boys 10, 7 and 5 to Charlotte in April to visit relatives. They've loved science museums, Lego Land, Disney World, small nature centers, swim parks/water slides - etc. Anyhow have any suggestions on what the guys might enjoy not too far from Charlotte?

My wife and I are thinking of a big vacation for our 15th anniversary. We had friends try Mexico, but they both got violent diarrhea during their trip, wasting four of their seven travel days.

Am I better of going to the Caribbean or Hawaii than Mexico?

Or can you realibly travel in Mexico while avoiding Montezuma's revenge? If so, how?!

My husband and I are going to be attending teacher's college in Ballarat, hopefully, and I need to know how much money we should expect to pay per month for rent, groceries, bills (electric, water) etc. How much should a student expect to need? We are not frivolous nor do we go out drinking often so that's not a consideration. Thanks for any help you can offer if you live in the area! Even though you haven't visited all the big cities give it a try and tell us about your experience, if possible:

NY, LA, Houston, ATL, Philly, Seattle, DC, Boston, Miami, Chicago, NO ect ....

What do you think of HOUSTON? I am planning to move there soon, and I hear it is not to best place for blacks.

Anyone know of any movies featuring the landscape, people, or culture of Alsace-Lorraine in France? I discovered that my ancestors came to the U.S. from there and I would like to see it on film. I love foreign movies, so I thought this would be a fun way to experience the region instead of reading a history book.
I'm more interested in cinema films than travel videos, but if there are some travel DVDs that focus on Alsace-Lorraine I would check them out also.
BTW, I already found the Wiki description and, yes, I know it's now called Alsace-Moselle. :)
