Rope, a huge knife to build shelter, and an best friend to keep me from killing myself. My friend would bring food, our Ipods, and....shampoo. Lol. Wash hair in the water..

If I was stranded on an island I couldn't take anything if I had nothing to begin with. However, if I knew I would be stranded on an island I would definitely bring some sort of wilderness survival guide, a big knife, and a very attractive woman, preferably a very intelligent attractive woman. Smart enough not to get on my nerves, since I may be on that island for quite some time.

I have no intentions of ever being stranded on any island. The closest island is hundreds of miles away and I am perfectly happy right here. When I was younger, I might have been tempted to answer this kind of question with my three most important things (musical instruments, books and soulmate). Nowadays, I realize that it is not healthy to be isolated. I also realize that it is not romantic like they show in the movies or on television.

flint and steel to make fire (this counts as one thing!!!)
8 gigantic pots to cook and get water in
a close friend that knows a lot about surviving and that person takes all of the things that we need but nothing to help us get off the island
like two sleeping bags
lots of food
a flashlight
rope
a swiss army knife
and stuff like that

I know this is bad but loads of Marlboro Lights, a lighter and a big sharp knife to cut branches etc for shelter.
