Water parks eg. Wild Wadi, Wonderland, Aqua park, etc
Shopping in big and beautiful shopping malls eg. Emirates Mall--> you can find everything in here under one roof, Ibn batuta mall--> I think it's the prettiest shopping mall in Dubai, City center--> it is old and boring but if it's your first time you will enjoy.
Ski- You can ski or slide and do a loads of other things in this beautiful indoor ski area in the mall of the Emirates or enjoy watching the world ski while sitting in the lovely cafes around the ski area
Jumairah beach is a lovely beach for you and your family to have a lovely time.You can also go to the jetskie areas.
Go to the beautiful parks eg. Safa park, Khour, Jumairah Park, Mamzar park etc

There's a big water park, I think Dubai World might be open. The sea is calm and safe (apart from those annoying motorised jet skies). Go before April, Feb is best to avoid the high temperatures or wait until October.
It's designed for tourists so you'll find lots to do.

Hang out with Michael Jackson and molest little boys.
Why do you think he moved there? That kinda thing is fine with them. Technically its still a crime there, but a crime as in the same sense as speeding is here in America. Its no big deal.

There is a lot to do,
You can ski!!!!! , it is a great experience, indoor ski in a mall.
You can also go to parks, there are lovely parks in Dubai
Shopping is great also, lots of huge and nice malls.
You can also enjoy water activities.
