It really depends on what part of the state you are going to. Philidelphia is pretty much its own state(a joke a lot of people use). If you like the big city feel then that is definatly the area to go to. Centeral PA(johnstown, altonna, ect..) is very "country". And is probably a completely new world compared to flordia. Slim to none diversity. But it is very, very quiet and the mountains are very nice. Pittsburgh is the smaller city and is very much more like the mid-west then the northeast. It has the "small-town" type of appeal so if you like that then you would love pittsburgh. It is run-down a lot because of the fall of the steel industry, but it has made really big comebacks(espically downtown) and is on the rise.

Hope this helps.

Pennsylvania is great Pittsburgh is smaller but way better and more friendly than Philly plus we have lots of amusement parks in the Pittsburgh area so yeah. Pittsburgh, PA is great and I'm 16 so trust me I know this is the most fun part of the state.

I live in southeastern Pa. It is hot during the summer and cold during the winter. Tell her to stay away from living in reading pa,
hamburg pa, and kutztown pa. They are all dangerous cities/towns. Other wise Pa is nice. If she goes way up north to Tioga County, Thats nice. It is colder in the winter, but there is not as many trucks and it is home to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon (Lenard Harison state park) We hardly have tornatoes. The last one was in 1998. We almost never have earthquakes. The last one felt was in 1996. If you get lucky the weather will be like it is now and in the high 60s in the middle of winter. which is wierd. The best places to eat are the town dinners. If she lives in southern Pa there are alot of trucks. Northern Center is calm. Any other questions feel free to email me and ask bkopicz3@hotmail.com id yourself as a subject as question please.

Pennsylvania is a very diverse state...it all depends where she is moving to in the state. Philly is more like NYC, Pittsburgh is more midwestern, NE PA is much like upstate NY or New England, and the central part (near Harrisburg) is conservative more like the south.

It's pretty nice and you have a lot of areas where you can go out into the woods and most people here are very friendly. Also if you come up here you might experience something you never did before... snow!!! Anyway, its your decision. Good luck.
