Might be moving down there with my bf....big move I know I know....he's got a great oppurtunity though working with his cousin down there starting out making $75,000... I have my Associates Degree in Business Administration/ Marketing....Im 23, from Long Island, NY (shape of the fish)....outgoing, down-to-earth, adapt easy....etc.....Can anyone just let me know a little about it it will help me on deciding if I should definately go or not along with making a major commitment with my bf.... =) Thank you friendly residents od Citrus County!!!!

Is it hard to find jobs down here specifically in the business criteria/marketing area?....Is it worth it to just go and try it out or do I might want to just take a vacation first? My bf says if I don't like it we can just come back up...PS I'm a little afraid of commitment....Just need as much info as possible....thanks

Citrus County is a great choice! It is a growing area, so most areas are either rural or suburban. There are lots of outdoors activities and several state parks in the area. The county is within an hour's drive of Tampa (depending on where you live). Ocala and Gainesville are relatively close. The county has a medium size shopping mall in Crystal River. For big shopping trips, you'll probably have to go to Tampa, Gainesville, or Clearwater (about 45 minutes south on U.S. 19).

I am from LI I live near citrus co. The cost of living in fla. is cheaper than LI. ur b/f making 75k is exceptional. It will be hard for u to find something in that range. You need to ask the chamber of commerce to send u a few things,like want ads or the orlando sentinol wed.edition(has the professional jobs) u can get a 2 bdrm house for about 700.a mo Also the summer is very hot quite an ajustment! sometimes it s still 97 at 7pm. I cannot stand LI I was born & raised in Southampton. I hate crowds & obnoxious citidiots from NYC.
