My boyfriend of 5 years if from buckley's village (if I'm spelling that correctly) and he's been back to visit. He's going to take me with him this next year. I can't wait I've seen pictures he took while he was there and it is beautiful.

I've been offered a job working a night club in Australia and being from the US I have some questions. how long are dogs quarintined when you first move there? approx how much % of check goes toward rent? What are the gun control laws if any? Do you tip your barstaff or is it like england where bartending is respectable but not a great living? Offered job in sydney any thing else I should know? do you dislike yanks even though the majority doesn't agree with our government?

My husband and I went to Vegas last summer and he fell in love and really wants to move there. I love adventure and the idea of living in a city( we live in a small town in Maryland right now), but we will be leaving family. I am also a beach fanatic and I am not sure about having no ocean near me. I am also scared of the crime rate there. Does anyone have any advise or an opinion.

I am hoping to go to New York next month and have been trawling tripadvisor and other similar websites for advice. Please help! Is it worth paying around £550 each (5 days inc. flights) to stay somewhere like the Intercontinental or the Dream Hotel? Or is it wiser to spend closer to £400 at places like Astor on the Park, or Sohotel. I realise that we will be spending most of our time out and about, and the hotel should be little more than a place to rest our heads. However, it is a reasonably special occasion and it would be very disappointing to have to sleep somewhere horrible. For your info, £550 is about the max we would want to spend each. Any advice would be gratefully received. Location info would also be useful. As would any tips for good restaurants/ activities! We don't really know exactly where we would like to be, but certainly close to Central Park, Park Avenue and all the other cliched touristy places! Thank-you very much.
