Of course you can check out the various web sites for American airlines, but I've read that you can get the best bargains by booking in London (or East Europe and other out-of-the-way places) Saw this in an article in the Wall Street Journal a few months ago, but can't remeber the specifics.

Las Vegas room rates are very sensitive to:
1) Whether it is a weekend (Fri-Sat) or a weekday (Sun-Thursday)
2) Whether there is a convention in town or in the casino you want to go to.
3) Whether it is a holiday during your stay (cheap over Xmas, expensive over New Years)

Having said that, if you time your visit, you can get a room in a large casino on the strip like The Flamingo for as little as $60/night. Or if you can't time your visit, you can easily pay $300 to $400 for a room at a nice hotel on the strip.

I flew from Moscow to San Fransisco in 1996 and Aeroflot prices beat anyone else by a lot of bucks. Nowdays, I don't know if there's that much difference.

Check out Travelzoo.com, the best hotel rates on the net. I have gotten, for instance, a suite in NYC that usually goes for over $750 for $199, I use them all the time, you can problably find a LV hotel for $50 a night, this summer I did and w/ free spa passes.
