Travel - 15 October 2006

I want to know can i goto the Bahamas for 3 days and come back without probation knowing as long as i dont get in any trouble. I got a last minute opportunity to go for a few days and am thinking of going but the only catch is that it is short notice and i will not have the 60 days required to get permisson. I am probation for grand larceny and have no violations or re-arrest since being on probation if that information helps. Anyone with any knowledge on this, please let me know because i would really like to go but i dont wanna set myself up...thanks

I would like to take my boyfriend away for a night or two as he has been working really hard and needs a break, can anyone suggest anywhere in the UK, within a few hours of London that would be romantic? We have been to Brighton so many times now that somewhere different would be good.

I just got back from Egypt last week, which was nice, but our tour rep wasn't the best to say the least. He was supposed to be at our hotel everyday at 1215pm to help with excursion booking etc, but didnt show. And when he promised to come at 9pm one evening for us, he still didnt turn up. Wasnt too pleased about waiting in hotel lobby when i could have been doing other things...
When it came to the flight delay to come home (which happens, fair enough), he didnt contact anyone to give us details, only sent the airport transfer bloke in to our hotel who told us to sit in lobby for 9 hours, waiting for pick up. He left pretty sharpish. Only after contacting home did we find out that our flight was leaving 8 hours after our hotel pick up and that it was going via another country...

Not being one to get out of bed everyday to complain about everything... but I do think if you pay for a service, you deserve to get something back.

Pointless exercise or worth trying???

If we look at the whole balance of the universe ying yang surley being small should have its advantages like cheap airfares for example. It just seems that your paying for halling your weight across the sky, isn't that why infants travel free and you pay more for excess luggage? But on the same note should the extra large people have to pay for there excess luggage? Maybee we should all be weighed indivually when it comes to determining the price we each pay.

It just happened to me off Carnival Cruise yesterday. I went to get all 5 of me and my wife's luggage and only recovered 4. The one missing had all our pictures we took, plus some souvenir t-shirts, not to mention some of my clothes. Vacation ruined!

I am a canadian citizen but i am currently on welfare for myself and 2 children i get my rent paid at the moment aswell. i was just wondering would i be entitled to anything if i moved to Canada, my 2 children are not Canadian citizens of as yet. I will be visiting HKG with my wife from the 20-25 Oct '06. Although most of the Hotels I have checked online are full, the ones that have rooms are overly priced (USD 200 approx). Can anyone help me to find a Hotel within or around USD100 per nite in the Kowloon area? Or is it a good idea if I just land up there and ask the taxi guy to take me to a decent Hotel, will i get cheated?

Hi, I want this Disney World trip to be great for the kids b/c I am dying and they have never been there.They have wanted to go there for years. This will be something that I hope they can remember of mommy and kids to do while I am still able to do this with them. Sorta of something to forget about the future for alittle while. I don't have much money, the medical bills are adding up.So I am hoping to get a great deal on this trip of a lifetime for them. Ok, SO on to my question...Anyone have information on the best deals/way to get the most from our trip? I know nothing about where to stay, what to see. I am afraid to book this trip and it not being everything the kids can imagine. I want this to be a trip to remember..Can't disappoint them with this, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
