I have had this done to me but it is most often American people telling me that I have either spelt a word incorrectly or made a new word up! I am from England and I think we have a lot of words that are different. Have you had people do this to you? What words have they corrected?

Slightly vague question I know, I'm trying to get a friend of mine a gift before he goes off though East Asia and Australia, he's never been on a long travelling jaunt before and neither have I and I want to get him something, that will make him say "thank god I had that with me" etc. any suggestions, budget is limited but all ideas welcome.

and start all over again in another country? Good opportunity ? Questions should I stay or should I go always come up, it's mostly my friends I think about and how much I will miss them. Of course I will keep in touch with them by email and letters. Can you suggest any other ways to cope with this and how to get over the culture shock?

I sometimes tire of where I live, and my curiousity gets me into visualizing other states, countries, or just places in the US where I have never been before, and the feeling I would have living there... how about you?

I am attending a family wedding in Lake Louise in January 07 and would like to rent a house that will cater for 8-10 people for a two week period. All I can find on the web are chalets which are too small.

With the implementation of the racist and illogical Affirmative Action and B.E.E. laws in South Africa, making it law that even PRIVATELY OWNED businesses must reflect the demographic of the country - even demanding quotas for black shareholders in said businesses - and with the increasing marginalisation of Afrikaans in the ever plummeting South African schooling system, how long can their nation survive?

Afrikaans landmarks are being renamed and their history is being rewritten. That, coupled with laws that are designed to keep a sizable portion of their demographic in constant poverty, have the same goal - to eventually wipe all memory of their existence from a land that has been their home for centuries.

Am I wrong?

2 years ago, a friend of mine came back from london and bought these very tasty candy bars called BOUNTY and they were delicious.

i remember the candy was chocolate on the outside, and crunchy like a kit kat bar on the inside, with a creamy coconut filling.

so i was very excited last week because it was my first time in london.... so i went to sainsburys and bought 50 BOUNTY bars.

when i went back to my hotel room to eat one of them, i noticed that there was just coconut inside.

NO MORE crunchy inside????

does bounty make different types of candy bars??

i know that i bought the right one because, i remember the white and blue wrapper, with the coconut picture.

my question is ===== did they change the candy bar RECIPE???

thanks!!
