I am a person that likes to be somewhere where things are going on. I am lookin to move to another city that has a fun urban feel. I do not want to go to Atlanta because everyone is moving there. Which one would you choose; Cleveland, St. Louis or Detroit?
Please give me your intake all three.

My boyfriend and I will be cohabiting for about two years or so around KL next year onwards. We are planning to migrate after and are currently looking to buy a two-room condominium (800-1000 sqf), preferably around the Damansara belt (between Bangsar to Bandar Utama). We're budgeting our purchase to about RM 200 000. I'm also wondering if renting is a better option (yes, I'm aware of RPGT). Does anyone have any suggestions? If so, how much and where?

We're moving from a very safe upper-middle class neighborhood with excellent schools. (Near a smallish but known city.) Memphis is quite a bit bigger, and since it's in a completely different part of the country, I don't know much about it.

What can you tell me about the following?

1) Which suburbs have the best schools?
2) How safe is the Memphis area as a whole?
3) What are race relations like?
4) Is it a good place to raise kids. . .what kinds of things are there to do?
5) What is there to do for adults?

I'm looking at this as an adventure, and would really like to see it work out. But, of course, there are a lot of things that I'm nervous about because it's so completely unknown to me.

I'm staying at 6th ave & W46th St. and need to catch the Statue of Liberty Ferry. Should I take the #1 subway from 42nd St. to South Ferry, or the #4-5 from Grand Central to Battery Park?
