l Love Long Drives!!!!!!!!!!! If I were to take a long drive, I think I would head up to Santa Barbara and Solvang. I would leave early On Friday in the morning and head up 101 to Santa Barbara!!! I would get off at Cabrillo Blvd and park the car at Stearns Wharf and take my picnic basket full of muffins, some fruit and some little orange juice boxes. I would sit and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. Then I would drive up Cabrillo Blvd a little further (up to the top of the hill) and park the car at the park above the beach!!! I would walk down the beach for a while discovering and finding neat looking sea shells. Then I would head back to the car and drive up San Marcos Pass On my way to Solvang. I would drive up to Lake Cachuma and walk through the Visitors Center and learn all about the wildlife in that area and take the boat tour out on the lake. After that I will drive into Solvang and walk through the Shops for a couple of hours, stop in at the Solvang Restaurant to have an Ableskiver (hot pancake ball)!! After leaving Solvang, I would head back down 101 to Goleta to the El Capitan State Beach and Campground and camp there for the weekend!!!!!!!!!!! The beach is right below the campground!!!!!! So, if I did a road trip trip or long drive...that is where I would go.

Love em. Drive to the closest HUGE city. Like for me, It would be Chicago. Just make it a weekend trip, pack up and drive there, stay at the place a night or whatever and drive back. Its reallllly quite fun, and relatively inexpensive.

it depends where your from. I love long drives to the country. I live in a fairly busy place and I enjoy driving to the country, sometimes stopping and having a picnic in a field with my love one or just drive and drive. its kind of hard with the gas prices though.

What do you consider a "long" drive? 500 miles? 1000 miles? 3000 miles?
