I want to rent a cabin somewhere, any place particularly snowy earlier than most?

Mammoth Mountain Resort is supposed to get snowy early this year from what I have heard... My good friend called me and told me to come up in like 2 weeks

Forget Yosemite...how about Mono County(county seat:Independence)...it snows almost EVERY day of the year...
