I've lived in UK (but not in London) and Spain (but not in Barcelona), but know both cities quite well. I'm not Spanish, not British, so I think (well... hope!) my opinion is impartial or at least unprejudiced!
I choose Barcelona for all aspects (quality of life, food, sea/sun, leisure in general, people, dynamism) except one or two (culture and, mainly a professional side- very few interesting/high level jobs in Spain in general).
In conclusion: unless your priority is work, go to Barcelona!
By far, I'd choose Barcelona.

Barcelona of course, becouse I hate the rainy weather in London,it makes me depressed, also I don't like the politic that British makes this days and the people are snobs and so cold and not friendly like the people in Spain. Also,Barcelona is a city with a lot of things that must be visited, like Anthony Gaudi's houses-Casa Mila and Casa Batlo also the church Sagrada familia-the most impresive church in all of the world, than the park Guel-fantastic,it can't be described with words it must be seen, the singing fontan, also the stadium of FC Barcelona-Nou Camp, and many other places. And the people are so nice, friendly and the language that they speak is the second spoken language in the world after English, also many of the Spanish people in Barcelona speaks English,so it's not a problem for understanding if you don't speak Spanish, whic is not my problem becouse I can speak Spanish and Englis too.I like that Spanish spirit whic can be seen everywhere in Barcelona-in the streets,in the cafe bars,in the galeries,in the buildings...everywhere.

I prefer to live in my house, in my city, in my country, but answering at your question, I would prefer London, because:
1.I can talk, even bad, English.
2.The people are more educated (but so "cold").
3.There are more places to see and more things to do.
