Me and my fella are from nottingham and are going away for a night this friday, but not sure where to, we will be driving and hoping to not be in the car for much longer that about 1hr 30mins. have u any suggestions for somewhere with a few nice pubs and restaurants and a few shops, nice cheap hotel.

Leeds - it's excellent! Ace nightlife with loads of brill bars. Fantastic shopping.

York is about 1Hr 30Min's Approx away from Nottingham!(If you leave at a Reasonable time)
Great Shops!
Great bars!
Great restaurants (Loads of Choice)
Some Even better Hotels and B&B's
The Hilton within the walls is great and very central!
