It's one of the best! But the media ruins it. People are labelled and stigmatised. And politics - those up their running this country are their for their own agenda, otherwise the NHS wouldn't be a mess, we are on the verge of race wars and schools are full of hood rats. But there are lots of positives too, we are liberal, we are multicultural which I believe makes us smarter and more socially aware than most other countries.

And as for being rainy, here in the South East, we have had the driest year since....goodness knows when. We have a hose pipe ban. Climate is changing here, this summer I notice insects I have never seen before here. And some days, we have weather better than the Mediteranean. England isn't the blanket of rain it used to be.

Oh yes me hearty bring back the stocks and the gibbot and haul these young chav gangs off the streets and place them all in the stocks.
We can then throw everything rotten and much more at them.
Hang them up on the post and let the crows peck out their eyeballs.
Or bring back National service and make them serve min three years in the Army.
Press gang them into the Navy.
The big problem with this dear beloved land of ours today is the Doo Gooders that have ruined everything and have taken away the rights of every law abiding person in this country today white or black in favour of the Offender.
The victim gets treated worse than the offender.
I like the American idea on law..if someone beaks into your home and you catch them...Shoot the bastards.

Most definetly.ok its often cold with lots of rain, and well yes the prime minister will soon be a muslim, along with the archbishop of canterbury, and yes we do have a bit of a yob culture, and our spotring teams are not the best in the world, and ok i know the taxes are some of the highest in the world, and we dont have much respect for the sick and the elderly, and political correctness is annoying, fuel prices are out of reach, but apart from these trivial things what is there to moan about

What other country in the world has 2 neighbour countries who all wish they were born there?

What a shame for the Jocks and the Welsh to miss out just for the sake of a few hundred miles.
Now you know why they all have a chip on their shoulder.

To me it is, after 911 (the next day) it was the only country that stood firmly with the U.S., and "Tony Blair" was standing next to "Bush", I didn't see any other country's standing next to us. As an American, and a New Yorker, I was very proud to have England standing by our side, it showed me( the rest of America, and NY) who our friends really are when the sh-t hits the fan ! We'll never forget that !

No. Gone are the days of the British Empire when we used to be respected by the whole world. Now we suck up to the US too much and it's more like another US state with better laws

I'd rather live here than a 3rd world country or Iraq, but it isn't the nicest country. Our weather is rubbish and most of our population aren't even British.

When it was Great Britain it was a wonderful place to live, work and explore.

But it's not been great for some time now.

It's still got some fantastic places to visit but I wouldn't recommend living in England to anyone.
